Long Island New York is one of the most populated islands in the world with an estimated population of over 7.5 million and a population density of 5,470 people per square mile. Over 118 miles long, this region’s westernmost area includes the New York City boroughs of Brooklyn (Kings County) and Queens (Queens County).
